Specific Prohibitions
As the Bible condemns sexual immorality, those who get involved in sexual immorality will be disciplined. A first offence will result in a 12 month suspension from all ministry, with the removal of all privileges. The aim is to rehabilitate the offender. A second offence will result in another year’s suspension, with the removal of all privileges, and the offender will be required to go for counselling at their own expense. A third offence will result in instant dismissal from service with Mountain Ministries. If after the first or second offence, the offender does not comply with the requirements set down in this document they will be dismissed from the service of Mountain Ministries.

As the Bible also speaks against drunkenness, those who get drunk while on ministry or at any place or any time will also face discipline. A first offence will be punishable by a 3 month suspension from all ministry, with the removal of all privileges. A second offence will result in a 6 month suspension, with the removal of all privileges, and the offender will be required to go for counselling at his own expense. A third offence will result in a 24 month suspension, during which time the offender must book himself into a rehabilitation facility for the full two year period. Another offence will result in instant dismissal from service with Mountain Ministries. If after a first, second or third offence they do not comply with the requirements laid out they will be dismissed from service with Mountain Ministries.

The taking of drugs will be treated in the same way as drunkenness.
Theft or fraud, of any kind, will result in instant dismissal from the service of Mountain Ministries.

Short term volunteers who are guilty of the above offences will be released from their duties with Mountain Ministries and will be required to return home immediately.
